How MatriXed handles app data for Shopify merchants.

Last updated: June 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how MatriXed collects, uses, shares, and deletes information when a Shopify merchant installs or uses the app.

Information we collect

  • MatriXed connects to Shopify so store staff can manage products, inventory, lots, labels, reports, transfers, consignment workflows, employees, and related operational tools.
  • Depending on the features a store uses, MatriXed may process shop information, product and variant data, inventory quantities, location data, order and refund data, barcode values, label queue records, report data, employee names, employee permissions, PIN authentication records, consignor records, safe ledger records, sync job status, and app session records.
  • MatriXed does not intentionally collect payment card numbers. Payment processing is handled by Shopify and any payment providers configured by the merchant.

How we use information

  • We use information to provide and operate the app, keep inventory and catalog data in sync, generate labels and reports, support employee access controls, troubleshoot issues, protect the app, and comply with Shopify platform requirements.
  • We may use aggregated or operational logs to improve performance, reliability, and support, but we do not sell merchant or customer personal information.

Sharing information

  • We share information only when needed to operate the app, comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or work with service providers that host, secure, monitor, or support the app.
  • MatriXed runs on third-party infrastructure and uses Shopify APIs. Those providers process information according to their own agreements and policies.

Retention and deletion

  • We keep app data only as long as needed to provide the app, meet operational needs, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with legal obligations.
  • When a shop uninstalls MatriXed or Shopify sends an applicable shop redaction request, MatriXed is designed to delete data associated with that shop from its app database.
  • Shopify privacy webhook requests are handled through the app's configured privacy webhook endpoint.

Security

  • We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect app data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
  • Store owners are responsible for managing staff access, employee permissions, and Shopify account security.

Your choices and rights

  • Merchants can uninstall the app from Shopify to stop future app access and trigger app data cleanup.
  • Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information. To make a request, contact us using the email below.

Changes

  • We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date shown on this page.
